We have a little bit of everything you’ll need while visiting Kabetogama and Voyageurs National Park.
Bait, Tackle & Quality Gear
We have summer bait suited for the area lakes and the time of year you’re fishing on them. From crawlers and leaches to shiners and fatheads, you’ll find all the live bait you need. We’ll even throw in some oxygen to keep the little swimmers alive for you. We have everything you need to fish and be out in the elements, including quality rain gear. We offer a wide range of tackle from our buffet of jigs to spinners and crankbaits. There’s plenty of fishing "bling" to capture the attention of that trophy fish. We also have top-of-the-line rods and reels, rain gear, life jackets/PFDs, tackle boxes, bait containers, and nets. We have the tried and true and offer some of the latest technology from quality manufacturers. Need a fishing or hunting license? We've got you covered. Just want some current tips on fishing Kabetogama or ways to experience Voyageurs National Park, we can help you with that. We have staff on hand who fish, hunt, and love the outdoors so we can help you have the best experience at Kabetogama as possible.
Conveniences
We have most of what you’ll need while visiting Kab and probably some stuff you just won’t be able to resist. From fresh ground coffee each morning to Shorelunch for the fish fry, and everything in between. Including lots of snacks for the boat and out on the trails.
People come from miles around for our premium hand-scooped Ashby’s Ice Cream. Once you taste it, you’ll be hooked.

We also have an ATM inside the store, propane exchange, ice and firewood.
Ice Cream
Enjoy massive scoops of Ashby's premium ice cream. 16 flavors to choose from! Add some toppings or have any flavor ice cream made into a malt or shake. Root beer floats available as well. Kids with ice cream: get your picture taken and we’ll put you on our coolers.
Apparel
You'll find lots of Kabetogama and Voyageurs National Park T-shirts, hoodies, and funky stuff, like one-of-a-kind custom-made Kab souvenirs. We also carry quality rain gear, hats, and gloves to keep you warm and dry on the lake.
Groceries
No need to haul all your groceries north. We carry the essentials and have almost anything you might have forgotten from charcoal, eggs, and milk to snacks, drinks, dried goods, and health and beauty. Don’t see it, just ask, we might be able to pull something out of our sleeve.
ATM
We have an ATM on site! Help the local businesses by paying with cash and avoid credit card fees.
Firewood/Ice
Grab the little red wagon, fill it up with firewood and away you go. And in the summer, we always have 10 lbs bags of ice to keep your drinks cold.
Liquor
Beer, local IPAs, liquor, wine and tobacco products available in our Bear Den (last door on the left in our hallway). Feels like you’re walking into a speak easy! No password required. Just a valid license.
Propane
Small propane cylinders for sale, as well as 20 lb, 30 lb, and 100 lb propane tank exchanges.
Coffee Bar
Enjoy fresh ground coffee from Main Street Roasters of Indiana, hot chocolate or cappuccino, and get an up-to-date fishing report while you’re here.
Snacks/Candy
Plenty of snacks, drinks and grab-and-go goodies to choose from that are perfect for the boat and the trails.
